Florence- Tomie Walters died peacefully at his home on Sunday, June 17, 2012 with his wife by his side. He was born in Greenville, S.C., a son of the late Daniel and Thelma Lucille Godfrey Walters. Mr. Walters was a veteran of the United States Navy and a mechanical engineer. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Walters of the home; a son, Phillip (Susan) Murray of Orange Park, FL; a daughter, Elisabeth (Jim) Gadd of Seneca, S.C. and a step-daughter, Lori Cadorette of Orlando, FL; two grandsons, Tyler and Kyle Newberry, two step-grandchildren, Madison and Cooper Cadorette, and a special cousin, Barbara Jones of Nichols. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Riverside Cemetery in Nichols directed by Meares Funeral Home of Mullins.
